Tablets: Best Inexpensive Do-ALL Gadget In Electronics!

To us, tablets are a crazy-smart buy.

They’re amazing value in electronics and we absolutely love them.

Tablets are an especially wise purchase for families and people with multi-tasking, complicated lives. Tablets can organize your house, your family and your job, like nothing else.

Except maybe for a guy name Jeeves. But he’s a lot more expensive.

Here’s 12 simple reasons we think tablets are GREAT:

  1. They’re more economical than phones or computers so you get a lot of bang for your buck.
  2. If a tablet breaks, is lost, or stolen…you won’t need a second job to replace it. You can score an excellent Tablet here
  3. They sync with other electronics and saves wear and tear on the expensive computer sitting on your desk. Take your tablet anywhere and everywhere!
  4. They’re great travel companions with amazing media, gaming, and reader abilities.
  5. Their battery life rocks compared to a computer.
  6. They keep us organized and in the loop.
  7. With the right apps, they economically convert into a plethora of other devices.
  8. They’re easy to transport.

              STILL don’t believe us?

Here’s 12 SMART ways to use your tablet.

1. Remote controls.

You can download apps to a tablet to control your home, your home theater, your music, and your children. Just kidding about the children. But you can download apps keep track of them, their location, or even monitor what they’re receiving on their phones. Then keep that tablet at your side like a TV remote.

If you have a pricy computer and want to relish it for the more important things, use a tablet. Tablets are great for surfing, watching Netflix, movies, gaming, and music. It’s like riding your bike instead of putting miles on your Lamborghini.

3. Great for Taking Notes And Organization

Tablets are great way to take notes and file them. Great for school, classes, meetings, work, and projects of all sorts. You can save your notes and file. Or share! They’re your miniature filing cabinets. As inexpensive as they are, you can have one for every project.

4. Easier to cuddle with.

Sure. You can also take your computer to beddie-by-time, but it overheats, smothered in sheets which slashes life expectancy.  You can buy a laptop tray the for bed, but that’s also bulky. Better to invite a slick, good looking tablet to bed instead. And, they’re a much cheaper date too.

5. Use as your additional screen.

Hook your tablet to your computer as a second Monitor. When I’m writing, it’s hard to switch back and forth between open pages. When I need to research something, check mail, or make a call, I use my tablet instead. I’m able to keep it open for reference and screen shots. I also hook my tablet to my computer as a second screen too.

    1. Funny David! It’s true. These electronics do become a bit addicting…

  13. I’ve been thinking about getting a tablet. To take with me on trips, its compact and functional to write blogs.

    1. Thanks for commenting Stacey. I love traveling with a tablet. You don’t need to remove it at security checkpoints and it has a much LONGER battery life. It’s so inexpensive to try. If you like it, move to a more expensive tablet. It was hard at first, but I’ve learned to type on a tablet. Works great for me.

  14. I am obsessed with my tablet! It is basically the lightest laptop you can get!

    1. We’re birds of a feather Sam!

  15. A tablet can be so multi-functional! I used mine for taking notes hich was easier than carrying the laptop everywhere before it spoilt. Planning to get another one!

    1. Hi Darlene! I’ve been using a Samsung for 3 years now. Extensively. Although the fire, and RCA’s are cheap and durable.

  16. I have a tablet and you listed so many more options for them than I realized they can do. I think I’m a little behind.

    1. Actually, they were just a few ideas. There’s so many ways you can use a tablet as a cheap replacement for other devices. Thanks for commenting Brittany.

  17. I bought a tablet years ago and somehow it became my child’s toy. I can’t get away from my planner. Something about writing in it makes things so much easier for me.

    1. It became your child’s to because it was a fairly inexpensive loss. That’s my favorite thing about a tablet. It costs more to go out for a cheap meal than it does to buy a tablet. But you’re right! We write in a way that works best for each of us. I prefer a computer for writing but use my tablet when on the road or traveling. I love it.

  18. Tablet can be used in a different way. Mine, I use it for a presentation for my business.

    1. Jack, they’re great for that! Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

  19. I’ll have to keep these ideas in mind. I do love tablets, that’s for sure. I’m on one often, and it comes in handy.

    1. Amber thanks for the comment! I use my more expensive Samsung for nearly everything, but I have a group of Fire tablets I use for extra things. Dedicated to certain projects. It’s a great organizer.

  20. Tablets have larger displays that give you more real estate to get real work done. In fact, with larger tablets the display is on par with smaller laptops, allowing you to get more done.

    1. Monidipa! Thanks for bringing out that point! I cannot work well on a phone. Only when I’m cornered. I always pull out my tablet instead.

  21. So cool all of the things we can do with our tablets. I have a Surface and love it!

    1. Evelyn, A surface outshines a computer in my opinion. No comparison. And other types of Tablets are so inexpensive, you can use them for other jobs (remotes for example) without compromising your surface.

  22. I think I am late to the party since I don’t have a tablet. 8 think you have convinced me to start searching for one.

    1. Joan, just stay home for dinner this weekend and you’ll have a enough cash to be a RCA or a Fire tablet to try it out!
